Christmas Crafts: Gingerbread Man Ornament

Creating ornaments out of old books (too old to donate), newspapers, or magazines is so much fun. I think these look so cute as Christmas decorations or to hang on a Christmas tree. Your students are going to love it! If you don’t have any old books or newspaper on hand then print my gingerbread man template on regular white printing paper, colored paper or card-stock. Give students some time to color & decorate their gingerbread men.

This product includes a gingerbread man ornament template that could be used for any subject. You have three different size options, the smaller ones are great for actually putting them up on a Christmas tree, the larger size is great for bulletin boards. Of course you can have sentence starters, prompts or math problems posted on your board and student’s can write on their ornaments instead of a regular paper.

Be sure to watch my step by step YouTube video for assembling the 3D gingerbread man ornaments. I’ve also included step by step ornament assembly instructions and a tips page. This is such a fun winter craft to do during December. Don’t forget you’ll need some string, twine or yarn to hang the ornaments with. If you don’t have time to do these in class you could send it home with students to do with their family during winter break.

I’ve also created a step by step YouTube video if you have old books, newspapers, or magazines and want to use my template on those.

I hope this gingerbread man craft brings you and your students lots of joy.
